Lauren Fields is an award-winning writer & director whose works have screened at multiple festivals. She has also worked for Palme D’Or winning director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), for director Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones), for director Kate Herron (Sex Education & Loki) and for writers Rafael Casal & Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting). A graduate of USC’s Film & Television Production program, during her final year, she was selected for a prestigious opportunity to direct an episode of an original sitcom in front of a live studio audience under the mentorship of DGA Award Winning director Peter Bonerz (FRIENDS).
Since graduating, she has directed a 10-episode dramedy web series starring Amber Benson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as well as several commercials and short films. Her most recent film BLUR, which she wrote & directed, starring Daniel Bruington (VICE) and Lexie Stevenson (The Young & The Restless), was an official selection for the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival (2018), Culver City Film Festival (2018) HollyShorts Screening Series (2019), and LA International Women’s Festival (2019). It also screened at WME as a part of the 2019 #TFTRise Director’s Showcase. Her upcoming film Shiva (delayed shooting due to COVID 19) was selected for the competitive Panavision New Filmmaker Program.
Her TV pilot script was named a semifinalist in ScreenCraft Pilot Launch 2018 Competition, a finalist for WAN Writer’s Workshop, and was recommended multiple time in the #WGAStaffingBoost. Most recently, her feature film script was a semifinalist in the Black List and Women in Film Feature Film Residency 2020. She’s a member of the Alliance of Women Directors & Women In Film.
