Lauren Fields is a Jewish-American bisexual, recovering Floridian writer/director, former child-size hand model, who originally wanted to be a WNBA star.
After getting over the disappointment of being only 5’2,” effectively ending her professional sports dreams, she decided to pursue a career in the much less competitive field of Film & TV.
Her writing is filled with fast-talking, witty, seemingly pessimistic, but secretly optimistic characters. She tells stories of women overcoming impossible circumstances across the genre spectrum from dramedy to period to sci-fi. In the past year, she has written for Berlanti Productions' The Flash (Ep. 911) and a comic book for DC Comics (Earth-Prime #3). She is a USC Film & TV Production grad who has had scripts advance for consideration in the Sundance Episodic Lab, Black List / WIF, and in the Top 100 of Launch Pad's Feature Competition, as well as a short film screen at HollyShorts and WME as part of an up and coming directors showcase. She has worked as script coordinator/support staff on WandaVision, Loki, Blindspotting, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and Orbital. In her spare time, Lauren volunteers with the American Brain Tumor Association.
She is represented by Abigail Palmer at Navigation Media Group.
